Primary form of HOA is observed at early ages of life and is hereditary in nature. Secondary HOA is more frequently seen in clinical setting and occurs as a result of various disorders including inflammatory and malignant diseases. Regression in HOA may be seen after the treatment of underlying condition. In this report, we presented a case of HOA coexisted with myelofibrosis and reviewed the current literature. A forma primária da OAH é encontrada nos primeiros anos de vida e é de natureza hereditária. A OAH secundária é mais frequente no ambiente clínico e ocorre como resultado de várias doenç as, incluindo doenças inflamatórias e malignas. A regressão na OAH pode ser observada após o tratamento da doença subjacente. Neste estudo, apresentamos um caso de OAH associado a mielofibrose e uma revisão da literatura atual.
