“…The changes in the prevalence of HUA in boys and girls over the seven years from 2016 to 2022 were also explored in our study. In addition, considering child development does not follow a linear pattern like adult growth, and the age and gender differences in serum UA levels have been reported in previous research, 7,20 the age-and gender-specific analysis of the high prevalence of hyperuricemia among Chinese children and adolescents with obesity were examined in our present study. Finally, the risk factors of HUA were also identified, which may provide a scientific basis for the prevention and treatment of HUA in children and adolescents.…”
