Objective: To identify in the scientific literature the clinical overview of the pediatric population that tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 and care recommendations and recommendations among children who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 in the scientific literature. Method: Rapid review based on the guidelines of the Joana Briggs Institute: elaboration of the research question, structured search of the literature in April 2020, in nine databases, selection and critical analysis of the eighteen primary studies (using two instruments to assess methodological quality), elaboration of the synthesis, incorporation of suggestions and dissemination. Result: The most frequent clinical overview was respiratory, gastrointestinal symptoms and fever. The images showed irregular frosted glass opacification. It is recommended to screen the pediatric population and family members who show signs and symptoms and to adopt isolation for more than fourteen days. Conclusion: The clinical overview in pediatric population is varied, not exclusively with respiratory symptoms, and a significant number of asymptomatic patients. The importance of new investigations is highlighted, such as randomized clinical trial or cohort studies, identifying their participation in the transmission of COVID-19.

Nesse momento com a maior atenção dos serviços de saúde direcionada a atender a demanda criada pela COVID-19, há uma preocupação pelo impacto que a atual pandemia pode causar nessa população, principalmente deficiência de vitaminas e minerais. Com isso, o intuito desse trabalho foi identificar o conteúdo de vitaminas D nos Programas que envolvem distribuição de alimentos e analisar a oferta desta vitamina e o nível de adequação à RDA para esse grupo populacional. Foi conduzida uma busca de estudos nas bases de dados da Medline/Pubmed, Web of Science, Scopus, Embase, Lilacs, Livivo e Open Grey. Dos 259 resumos identificados, apenas 12 estudos selecionados para a extração de dados, no qual foram expostos em figuras de acordo com a caracterização, distribuição de indicadores usados e estimativa de colecalciferol nos alimentos distribuídos. Esse estudo reforça a importância das ações de Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional, além disso, sugere a incorporação de marcadores específicos do status nutricional de vitamina D em futuros Programas destinados a PVHIV visto a importância desta vitamina nesses indivíduos.

Objectives: Considering the pediatric peculiarities and the difficulty of assisting this population in mass-casualty situations, this study aims to identify the main topics regarding children’s health care in mass-casualty incidents (MCIs) that are discussed in the Emergency Medicine area. Methods: This systematic review was performed according to the recommendations of Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) and registered with the PROSPERO database of systematic reviews with the number CRD42021229552. The last update of the search in the databases was on May 27, 2021 and resulted in 45 documents to be analyzed. The inclusion criteria included the peer-reviewed academic papers in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian languages; the databases used were PubMed, Scopus, MEDLINE/Bireme (Virtual Library of Health - VLH), and Web of Science, which execute the query on the topic, keywords, or abstracts. Also, to be included, documents that were available with full-text access through CAPES, Google, or Google Scholar. Books, non-academic research, and content in languages other than the presented ones were represented as exclusion criteria. Results: From the resulting papers, 21 articles served as the basis for this analysis. Revealed were the year of publication, the first author’s institution nationality, topic, and disaster management phase for each study, which allow other researchers to understand the main topics regarding children’s health care in MCIs. Conclusions: The topics regarding child’s health care in MCIs found in the primary studies of this review, in order of frequency, were: Disaster Response (including the following sub-topics: simulation, education, quality of care, use of technological tools, and damage analysis); Triage; and Disaster Planning. The Emergency Medicine operation was focused on harm reduction after the occurrence of an MCI. Further studies focusing on the pre-disaster and post-disaster phases are needed.
