Properties of bosonic atoms in small systems with a periodic quasi one-dimensional circular toroidal lattice potential subjected to rotation are examined by performing exact diagonalization in a truncated many body space. The expansion of the many-body Hamiltonian is considered in terms of the first band Bloch functions, and no assumption regarding restriction to nearest-neighbor hopping (tight-binding approximation) is involved. A finite size version of the zero temperature phase diagrams of Fisher et al. [19] is obtained and the results, in remarkable quantitative correspondence with the results available for larger systems, discussed. Ground state properties relating to superfluidity are examined in the context of two-fluid phenomenology. The basic tool, consisting of the intrinsic inertia associated with small rotation angular velocities in the lab frame, is used to obtain ground state 'superfluid fractions' numerically. They are analytically associated with one-body, uniform solenoidal currents in the case of the adopted geometry. These currents are in general incoherent superpositions of contributions from each eigenstate of the associated reduced one-body densities, with the corresponding occupation numbers as weights. Full coherence occurs therefore only when only one eigenstate is occupied by all bosons. The obtained numerical values for the superfluid fractions remain small throughout the parameter region corresponding to the 'Mott insulator to superfluid' transition, and saturate at unity only as the lattice is completely smoothed out.

Introdução: Considerada um problema de saúde pública, a deficiência auditiva em crianças pode prejudicar o processo de desenvolvimento da linguagem se o diagnóstico e intervenção não ocorrerem precocemente. Objetivos: Identificar os fatores de risco e a prevalência da deficiência auditiva em crianças atendidas no Programa de Saúde Auditiva do Sistema Único de Saúde de uma universidade de Vila Velha, ES. Métodos: Estudo transversal e retrospectivo de agosto de 2016 a agosto de 2018. A partir dos dados dos prontuários, realizou-se uma análise dos resultados da triagem do risco para deficiência auditiva e dos indicadores de risco. A pesquisa foi aprovada pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da Universidade. Resultados: Das 123 crianças estudadas, um total de 61 apresentou algum tipo de deficiência auditiva, sendo que 21,31% (n= 13) tiveram perda neurossensorial coclear, identificada pelo TAN; 36,06% (n=22) tiveram perda por lesão retrococlear identificada pelo BERA; e 42,62% (n=26) apresentaram perda neurossensorial coclear e retrococlear, ou seja, tanto no TAN quanto no BERA. Observou-se maior prevalência nos casos de permanência na incubadora >7 dias, medicações ototóxicas, malformações craniofaciais, nascimento prematuro, otite média recorrente, síndromes associadas, hiperbilirrubinemia, porém o único que teve significância estatística foi “ventilação mecânica”. Conclusão: Os achados demonstraram alta prevalência de deficiência auditiva em crianças de 0 a 5. Apesar de o fator “ventilação mecânica” ter sido o único com significância, acredita-se que o diagnóstico de deficiência auditiva tenha forte relação com os demais fatores de risco identificados no estudo.
