Screening of medium constituents for clavulanic acid production by Streptomyces clavuligerus

Abstract: Clavulanic acid is a β-lactam compound with potent inhibitory activity against β-lactamases. Studies have shown that certain amino acids play essential roles in CA biosynthesis.
