“…I-Gel provides controlled ventilation and spontaneous breathing during anaesthesia and it allows easy recognition of gastric content and passage of drain tube and suctioning and venting. 4 Many studies have been conducted regarding the safety and efficacy of SLMA and I-gel in various situations. [4][5][6][7] But still there is a need to prove their safety and efficiency in short surgical procedures.…”

[4][5][6][7] But still there is a need to prove their safety and efficiency in short surgical procedures. Hence, our study was aimed is to compare LMA supreme with I-gel in terms of success of insertion of device, hemodynamic changes and post-operative device related complications.…”

“…Numerous previous studies of these airway devices have demonstrated their easy, reliable insertion and low morbidity rate. (3)(4)(5)(6)(7) However, comparative studies involving all three aforementioned airway devices are lacking. One study testing the three devices used the laryngoscope-guided and gastric tubeguided methods of insertion, while another was conducted on paralysed, ventilated patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery.…”

“…It is a smaller model of the i-gel used in adult patients 5. It consists of a soft gel-like elastomer with a noninflatable cuff and a channel for gastric catheter placement, except for size one 6. Its design enables a mirrored impression of the pharyngeal and laryngeal structures and provides a perilaryngeal seal without cuff inflation.…”
