1,10-Phenanthroline platinum(ii) complex: a simple molecule for efficient G-quadruplex stabilization

Abstract: Two simple complexes [Pt(phen)(2)](PF(6))(2) and [Pt(bpy)(2)](PF(6))(2) exhibit high stabilization potential for G-quadruplex DNA with [Pt(phen)(2)](PF(6))(2) possessing higher capability due to its greater planarity.
