04 / Reperfusion injury with renal repercussion leading to amputation as a complication of radial artery cannulation

Abstract: Arterial line placement has a major complication rate below 1%. Ischemic injury can occur in patients with impaired perfusion or hemodynamic instability. Reperfusion injury is a life-threatening situation and this is, to the best of our knowledge, the first report of its occurrence after radial artery cannulation.
