Based on the F-expansion method, and the extended version of F-expansion method, we investigate the exact solutions of the Kudryashov-Sinelshchikov equation. With the aid of Maple, more exact solutions expressed by Jacobi elliptic function are obtained. When the modulus m of Jacobi elliptic function is driven to the limits 1 and 0, some exact solutions expressed by hyperbolic function solutions and trigonometric functions can also be obtained.Journal of Applied Mathematics [29,30], He et al. [31] investigated bifurcations of travelling wave solutions of the Kudryashov-Sinelshchikov equation and proved the existence of the peakon, solitary wave, and smooth and nonsmooth periodic waves. In this paper, we will derive more new exact Jacobian elliptic function solutions of the Kudryashov-Sinelshchikov equation based on the Fexpansion method and its extended version.

The F-expansion method is used to find traveling wave solutions to various wave equations. By giving more solutions of the general subequation, an extended F-expansion method is introduced by Emmanuel. In our work, a generalized KdV type equation of neglecting the highest-order infinitesimal term, which is an important water wave model, is discussed by using the extended F-expansion method. And when the parameters satisfy certain relations, some new exact solutions expressed by Jacobi elliptic function, hyperbolic function, and trigonometric function are obtained. The related results are enriched.

In our work, a generalized KdV type equation of neglecting the highest-order infinitesimal term, which is an important water wave model, is discussed by using the simplest equation method and its variants. The solutions obtained are general solutions which are in the form of hyperbolic, trigonometric, and rational functions. These methods are more effective and simple than other methods and a number of solutions can be obtained at the same time.

A good idea of finding the exact solutions of the nonlinear evolution equations is introduced. The idea is that the exact solutions of the elliptic-like equations are derived using the simplest equation method and the modified simplest equation method, and then the exact solutions of a class of nonlinear evolution equations which can be converted to the elliptic-like equation using travelling wave reduction are obtained. For example, the perturbed nonlinear Schrödinger's equation (NLSE), the Klein-Gordon-Zakharov (KGZ) system, the generalized Davey-Stewartson (GDS) equations, the Davey-Stewartson (DS) equations, and the generalized Zakharov (GZ) equations are investigated and the exact solutions are presented using this method.
