Synthese und Eigenschaften des Bis(pentarnethylcyclopentadieny1)germaniums (2) und -zinns (1) sowie der ionischen (Pentamethy1cyclopentadienyl)gerrnanium-und -zinn-tetrafluoroborate 4 und 3 werden beschrieben. Die Strukturen von 1 -4 resultieren aus spektroskopischen und analytischen Daten sowie im Falle von 1 und 3 auch aus Rontgenstrukturanalysen. The bonding in 1 -4 is discussed on the basis of model MO calculations.In vorangegangenen Untersuchungen hatten wir uns mit der Synthese und mit einigen Reaktionen von (Pentamethylcyclopentadieny1)zinn-Verbindungen beschaftigt'). In den Massenspektren der permethylierten Cyclopentadienylhalogenstannane hatten wir des ofteren das Auftreten einer Spezies der relativen Masse m/e = 255 beobachtet, welche der Zusammensetzung C5Me5Sni entspricht. Uber ahnliche Befunde an Cyclopentadienylverbindungen der 4B-Elernente wurde rnehrfach berichtet. So zeigen insbesondere die Massenspektren des Dicyclopentadienylzinn~~~~), des Cyclopentadienylzinn(1l)-chlorids4) und des Di~yclopentadienylgermaniums~) die Spezies C5H5Sn+ bzw. C5H5Gef mit sehr hoher Intensitat. Fur die grol3e Bildungstendenz dieser Ionen spricht auch ihr Auftreten in den Massenspektren von Dicarbonyl(cyclopentadieny1)eisenKomplexen mit eisenstandigen StannyL6r7) und Gerrnylliganden*), zurnal in diesen Verbindungen zunachst keine direkte Cyclopentadienyl-4B-Element-Bindung vorliegt.Angesichts dieser Ergebnisse erhob sich die Frage, ob derartige ionische Spezies auf praparativem Wege zuganglich sind. The syntheses of three acyclic (fluorosulfonyl)− or ((trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl)−nitrogen derivatives and their crystal and molecular structures are reported. The structures of bis((trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl)amine (1; (CF3SO2)2NH) and the corresponding anion in magnesium hexaaquo bis((trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl)amide dihydrate (2; [Mg(H2O)6][(CF3SO2)2N]2·2H2O) shed some light on the observed high gas-phase acidity of (CF3SO2)2NH. Extensive electron delocalization in the anion [(CF3SO)2N]- from planar, sp2-hybridized nitrogen into 3d orbitals of sulfur results in a noticeable shortening of the S−N bond on deprotonation. Similar electron delocalization is observed for the third compound, bis(bis(fluorosulfonyl)amino)sulfur (3; (FSO2)2NSN(SO2F)2), which features planar nitrogens with nearly six equidistant S−N bonds and extremely short S−O and S−F bonds. Compounds 2 and 3 have not been reported previously. Their unexpected, accidental formation and their characterization will be discussed.
