The purpose of this research is to determine whether the teaching method and reading interest affecting the historical learning outcome of the High School Student. The sample in this research is the student of SMAN 01 Argamakmur. This research used the quantitative research method with ANAVA 2 x 2. The result indicated: (1) Historical learning outcome of the student who applied the PQ4R method is higher than student who apllied the Direct instruction method. (2) There are interaction between teaching method and reading interest who affected the student hictorical learning outcome. (3) The historical learning outcome of the student who had a high interest in reading and applied the PQ4R method are higher than student who applied the direct instructional teaching method. (4) The historical learning outcome of the student who had a lowest interest in reading and applied the direct instructional teaching method are higher than student who applied the PQ4R method. In conclusion, teaching method and reading interest affecting the student historical learning outcome of the High School Student. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh antara metode pembelajaran dan minat baca siswa terhadap hasil belajar sejarah siswa SMA. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMAN 01 Argamakmur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan ANAVA 2 x 2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) hasil belajar sejarah siswa yang diberikan metode pembelajaran PQ4R lebih tinggi dari siswa yang diberikan metode pembelajaran langsung. (2) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan minat baca siswa terhadap hasil belajar sejarah. (3) hasil belajar sejarah siswa yang memiliki minat baca tinggi dan diberikan metode pembelajaran PQ4R, lebih tinggi dari siswa yang diberikan metode pembelajaran langsung. (4) hasil belajar sejarah siswa yang memiliki minat baca yang rendah dan diberikan metode pembelajaran PQ4R lebih rendah dari siswa yang diberikan metode pembelajaran langsung. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah, metode pembelajaran dan minat baca siswa mempengaruhi hasil belajar sejarah siswa SMA.
This research aims to create a module for making a history learning outcome test based on High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) in lectures at the Departement of History Education at the University of Riau, in the Penilaian pembelajaran Sejarah course. The research method used in this research is research and development which adopts the 4-D (Four-D) development model.In this research, the development in question is the creation of a guide module for the preparation of High Order Thinking Skill-based historical learning outcomes instruments The result of expert validation on the module content has a value of 3.8 (very feasible), then the result of the linguist validation has a value of 3.6 (very feasible). and the results of the module trial for students gave a score of 96.22 (very positive). Thus, the guide module that has been compiled is suitable for use as teaching materials in Penilaian pembelajaran Sejarah course at the Riau University departement of Historical education.
The purpose of this activity is to give an ability for the Teacher of Middle and High Schools in Kecamatan Tanah Putih, Riau Province to understand and be able to apply the HOTS evaluation method at their respective schools and students. The methods used are lectures, questions and answers, trials/simulations, and workshop. The results of this training activity that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the objectives of the activity have been successfully achieved. This is evidenced by the excellent enthusiasm of the trainees during the discussion process and the results of the assignments given to the presenters to the trainees, indicating an increase in the understanding and ability of teachers to integrate HOTS into learning outcomes test instrument.
This research is motivated by the lack of application of the form of HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) based assessment instruments in the History education study program (FKIP) Riau University. The purpose of this research is to make HOTS-based assessment instruments for Riau History courses, which can later be used to measure and assess the results of student lectures. This research is in the form of research and development (R & D) with a population that is a student of the History education study program (FKIP) Riau University which is used in the process of testing the Learning Evaluation instrument. The research data was obtained in two ways, namely, interviews and literature. After the data is obtained, it is continued with the preparation of HOTS-based learning evaluation instruments. To obtain accurate data, the test instruments used in this study must meet the criteria. The type of instrument used is a HOTS-based learning outcome test. The stages of instrument development began from the preparation of the test items to the examination of items by material experts to measure cognitive aspects of the learning outcomes variable. Test the validity of this study using the point biserial correlation formula. Items that are declared valid will be retained and invalid items will be revised/discarded. The next step is to test the reliability of the items. Instruments are declared feasible to use if they have successfully fulfilled the requirements for validity, reliability and passed trials in small groups and large groups.
