Postpartum depression is a highly prevalent disorder that can interfere in the mother IntroduçãoAs condições físicas e psicológicas da mãe no período que antecede e sucede o parto se revestem de grande importância, já que as bases do desenvolvimento infantil se estabelecem nessa mesma época e dependem intimamente do funcionamento da díade. Assim, a depressão pós-parto, uma condição de alta prevalência em várias culturas e diversas áreas geográficas, foi objeto de inúmeros estudos para avaliar seu impacto na interação mãe-bebê 1,2 e no desenvolvimento deste. A revisão dessa vasta literatura revela resultados por vezes contraditórios.Vários estudos salientam os efeitos deletérios da depressão pós-parto na interação mãe-bebê 3,4 , tais como: comprometimento do afeto positivo, da sintonia afetiva 5 , da regulação de comportamentos hostis, de intrusividade e falta de contingência 6,7 . Por outro lado, os estudos europeus do TCS-PND (Transcultural Study of Postnatal Depression) não conseguiram estabelecer correlação estatisticamente significante entre grau de depressão manifesta e prejuízo na interação mãe-bebê. Entretanto, para o grupo de mães deprimidas, maior intrusividade da mãe estava associada a um melhor engajamento da criança, e um comportamento materno mais distante se associava a menor vitalidade da criança 8 . Carter et al. 9 , usando a Escala de Disponibilidade Emocional, também não encontraram resultados mais baixos nas mães que apresentavam depres-738 ARTIGO ARTICLE

Durante um ano foram coletadas amostras de pólen e mel de colônias de Tetragonisca angustula angustula Latreille. Essas abelhas visitaram 180 espécies vegetais, pertencentes a 45 famílias diferentes, para coleta de alimento. Foram encontrados 140 tipos polínicos nas amostras de pólen e 158 nas amostras de mel. As espécies de plantas mais procuradas tanto para coleta de pólen como de néctar, variando somente a ordem de preferência, foram: Alchornea sidaefolia, Cecropia sp, Eucalyptus spp e Mimosa daleoides. A família botânica mais procurada para coleta de pólen foi Euphorbiaceae, seguida de Moraceae, Leguminosae e Myrtaceae. Para coleta de néctar, as mesmas famílias foram também as mais visitadas, variando no grau de preferência: Myrtaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Leguminosae e Moraceae.
O comportamento das rainhas virgens de Paratrigona subnuda (Moure) foi observado em cerca de 20 colônias. Verificou-se que elas possuem u m ciclo de atividades definido, constando de: a) eclosão, b) atividade na região dos potes, c) reclusão esporádica em potes e procura de contacto com as operárias, d) estabelecimento na colônia, e) tentativa de substituição da rainha fecundada da colônia, f) saída para u m novo ninho. O comportamento após a substituição da rainha foi relatado. Como acontece em outras espécies de Trigonini, as rainhas virgens de Paratrigona subnuda (Moure) também passam por u m a fase de reclusão, utilizando potes de alimentos vazios. Essa reclusão, porém, é considerada "voluntária”, pois as rainhas virgens saem dos potes e circulam livremente pela colmeia, mantendo contacto com operárias. A rainha virgem tem u m papel decisivo na substituição natural da rainha fecundada da colônia, visto que o processo de substituição é iniciado com a deposição de uma gota de substância mandibular, pela rainha virgem, sobre o corpo da rainha fisogástrica da colônia. Foram discutidas tanto a possibilidade de u m controle feromonal para a manutençâo da rainha poedeira na colonia como a importáncia dos prováveis feromónios nas diversas etapas do ciclo biológico da rainha virgem na colmeia.
