Nobody had ever imagined that the virus found on the Wuhan fish market
would spread worldwide within a few months. Severe acute respiratory
syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is the seventh member of the
coronavirus family that infects humans. Going through the corona-lane,
mankind has faced different virus variants, i.e., COVID-19, delta
B.1.617.2, and Omicron B.1.1.529. The outbreak of COVID-19 created a
shocking situation for not only the healthcare system, but also the
post-COVID-19 world, which is witnessing huge damage in the field of
environmental health, education, economy, industrial imbalance, hunger,
indebtedness, crisis, etc. in most cases. Now, the wide level of
vaccination throughout the world controls the number of cases, but by
looking at the global scenario and the latest Chinese lockdown, it can
be concluded that it will take time to become normal. The present
article is an effort to present the COVID-19 journey, how the situation
was, how it is, and how it may be. The perspective towards climate
action and its impact on the United Nation’s Sustainable Development
Goals of the United Nations have also been discussed.
