The study aims to measure/determine the level of self-regulated and self-awareness in the science learning process, analyze students' self-regulated and self-awareness in science learning in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The design of this study was a modified experimental pre-test post-test control group design. This research was conducted from March to July 2020, with 200 research subjects divided into four classes. The research instrument consisted of questionnaires and test questions in the online form. The data obtained were analyzed using an analysis of scores and averages of the questionnaire filled out online. The subjects of this study were students who took science classes with a total of 200 students in the Elementary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Education, Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta. The results showed that the learning process of science could take place online using the Zoom application, Google Classroom, UPY e-learning, and WhatsApp group. Based on the analysis results, it is known that the average score of Self-Regulated Learning is 74.59 (good), the average score for Self-Awareness is 75.75 (good), and the average learning achievement is 74.59 (good). It can be concluded that this online science learning takes place to the maximum, has a value of usefulness that is seen from the average of independent learning numbers, self-awareness number, and student achievement, which are in good categories.
This study aimed to improve the mastery of knowledge, attitudes, and skills of students in disaster mitigation in prone areas of volcanic eruptions. The subjects of this research were fifth (V) graders in three elementary schools situated in prone areas of Merapi volcano eruption in Srumbung subdistrict, Magelang regency, Central Java. The data collected in this study consisted of disaster knowledge, attitude, and mitigation practice. The data of disaster knowledge were obtained through a test and analyzed using t-test and N-gain. The attitude data were collected using questionnaire with an improvement analysis using N-gain. The mitigation practice data were collected through observation and analyzed by descriptive percentage for attitudes and skills. The research results showed that the implementation of thematic learning of Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) integrated with local wisdom was able to reconstruct and increase the disaster management knowledge. This can be seen from the N-gain score obtained by each elementary school which the highest Gain Score was 0.46 and included in the medium category. There was an enhancement attitude toward disaster having the highest Gain Score was 0.77. All disaster mitigation indicators were successfully mastered by more than 70 percent of the students, who were in the good category (70≥X≤85) in all three elementary schools implementing the thematic learning of SETS integrated with local wisdom.
<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> The success of online learning is largely determined by independent learning. Independent learning is influenced by several factors, one of them is achievement motivation. The aim of the study was to determine the correlation between student achievement motivation and independent learning during online learning. The research sample was 165 students of Primary School Teacher Education of PGRI University of Yogyakarta. The data were collected by using survey technique, while the data analysis technique used was correlation technique with Product Moment. The result of the study shows that there was a positive and significant relationship between achievement motivation and independent learning with 0.702 as amount of correlation coefficient. Meanwhile, the test result of determination coefficient shows that achievement motivation became 0.490 or 49% as predictor of independent learning.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong><em> </em>Keberhasilan pembelajaran daring sangat ditentukan oleh kemandirian belajar. Kemandirian belajar dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya motivasi berprestasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besarnya hubungan motivasi berprestasi dengan kemandirian belajar mahasiswa saat pembelajaran daring. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa PGSD Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta sebanyak 165 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan survei, sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik korelasi dengan <em>Product Moment.</em> Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara motivasi berprestasi dengan kemandirian belajar dengan besar koefisien korelasi 0.702. Sementara itu, hasil uji koefisien determinasi menunjukkan motivasi berprestasi menjadi prediktor kemandirian belajar sebesar 0.490 atau 49%.
AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan pembelajaran sains bermuatan karakter ilmiah dengan alat peraga barang bekas dan asesmen kinerja. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, observasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kevalidan pernagkat pembelajaran hasil pengembangan memiliki nilai kevalidan(Va) 4,23 yang berada pada kriteria valid (4 ≤ Va < 5). Karakter ilmiah dalam diri mahasiswa pada pembelajaran sains bermuatan karakter ilmiah dengan alat peraga barang bekas berada pada kategori baik dimana rata rata persentase karakter ilmiah pada masing masing Kelas> 70 %. Persentase rata rata aktivitas siswa berada pada kategori baik yaitu > 70 %. Kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa pada kelas A1 sebesar 84,44 % memiliki kemampuan kognitif baik dan sangat baik 13,33 % mahasiswa dalam kategori cukup dan 2,22 % siswa berada pada kategori kurang. Pada kelas A2 sebesar 80,43 % mahasiswa memiliki kemampuan kognitif baik dan sangat baik dan sisanya memilki kemampuan kognitif pada kategori cukup. Pada kelas A3 sebesar 89,13 % mahasiswa memiliki kemampuan kognitif baik dan sangat baik serta pada kelas A4 sebesar 93,33 % mahasiswa memiliki kemampuan kognitif baik dan sangat baik san sisanya memiliki kemampuan kognitif cukup.Kata Kunci: karakter ilmiah, asesmen, barang bekas. AbstractThe purpose of this study is to develop the scientific character of science learning laden with props thrift and performance assessment. This type of research is research and development. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires, observation and tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis percentage. The results showed that the validity of the learning pernagkat validity of the development value (Va) 4.23 which is the valid criterion (4 ≤ Va <5). Scientific character within students in science learning laden scientific character with props used items that are in good category where the average percentage of scientific character on each Class of> 70%. The average percentage of student activity is in the good category that is> 70%. Cognitive abilities of students in the class A1 of 84.44% cognitive ability and very good 13.33% of the students in the category fairly and 2.22% of students are in the poor category. In the A2 grade of 80.43% of the students have the cognitive ability and very good and the rest have the cognitive abilities in the category enough. In the A3 grade of 89.13% of the students have the cognitive ability and very good as well as the A4 grade of 93.33% of the students have the cognitive ability and very good san rest have sufficient cognitive ability.
