High frequency of risk habits in both genders was reported in OSCC Vietnamese patients. A trend of increased tobacco and alcohol use was observed in male OSCC patients. A lower prevalence of later staging in Vietnam was observed in this study than in earlier studies.
PurposeGiven the severe impact of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on bank business activities, this study aims to examine how green brand image and online trust affect customers' continuance intention (CI) under the boundary condition of perceived effectiveness of e-services (PEES).Design/methodology/approachAn extensive review of the green marketing perspective was conducted to identify the incremental contributions of the current study (e.g. extensions of online trust and PEES). The authors used the common questionnaire survey strategy for the data collection while applying the partial least squares technique for further analyses.FindingsUsing data from 460 bank customers, the findings indicated that online trust positively mediates the relationship between green brand image and CI under the moderating effect of PEES. At high levels of PEES, online trust exerts strongest effect on customers' CI.Research limitations/implicationsThis study responds to the emerging call for understanding the PEES role, under which online trust leads to CI in the context of the global pandemic.Practical implicationsThe authors provide bank managers with a helpful extension of green marketing with PEES to manage online trust and customer intention, thereby increasing the managers' strategic effectiveness.Originality/valueThe current study explores the moderating role of PEES that plays in the green brand image, online trust and CI relationships, in responding to the pandemic situation.
Purpose Rheumatoid arthritis, a chronic and progressive inflammation condition in the joints, has significantly reduced the patient quality of life and life expectancy. Crucially, there is no complete therapy for this disease, and the current treatments possess numerous side effects. Thus, novel therapeutic approach is necessary. To that end, this study developed novel silk fibroin in-situ hydrogel containing Sesbania sesban L. extract, a plant with high anti-inflammatory actions that are beneficial for rheumatoid arthritis treatments. Methods The hydrogels were manufactured using simple method of spontaneous gelation at different temperature. The gel properties of morphology, gelation time, viscosity, gel strength, stability, drug loading capacity, drug release rate, and in-vitro anti-inflammatory activity were investigated with appropriate methods. Results The optimal formulation had highly porous structure, with a gelation time of 0.5 h at room temperature and bodily temperature of 37 °C, a viscosity of 2530 ± 50 cP, a gel strength of 1880.14 ± 35.10 g, and a physical stability of >6 months. Moreover, the hydrogel contained the Sesbania sesban L. leaf extract with a total phenolic content of 92.8 ± 8.30 mg GAE/g, and sustained the release rate for >20 dạys, followed the Higuchi model. Regarding the in-vitro activities, all formulations were nontoxic to the RAW 264.7 cell line and demonstrated comparable anti-inflammatory activity to the free extract, in terms of the NO reduction levels. Conclusion Conclusively, the systems possessed potential properties to be further investigated to become a prospective rheumatoid arthritis treatment.
Introduction: Constant contact with allergens contributes to the formation of allergic rhinitis and swelling of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity. Moreover, constant inflammation stimulates hypertrophy of the mucous membrane of the nasal turbinates and paranasal sinuses. This study aimed to assess the clinical features of hypertrophic rhinitis (HR) in combination with allergic rhinitis (AR) in patients from Northern Vietnam to improve the effectiveness of treatment and quality of life of patients with this pathology of the nasal cavity. Methods: The study was conducted from June to September 2018 by the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Thai Nguyen Central General Hospital, Vietnam. A total of 158 patients with symptoms of chronic rhinitis, aged 5–70 years, were examined. All patients with allergic rhinitis were subjected to standard, specific allergological tests, such as the determination of specific IgE in the blood, and statistics were assessed according to the otorhinolaryngology examination and CT scan. All patients were also examined by otolaryngologists. Results: According to the results of our study, among 64 patients with a diagnosis of AR, a total of 45 (70.31%) patients were diagnosed as AR in combination with a hypertrophy of the mucous membrane of the nasal turbinate, with an average duration of morbidity of 5.8 ±1.6 years. Moreover, 17 (37.78%) patients were diagnosed with severe hypertrophy of the mucous membrane of the nasal inferior turbinate (the nasal inferior turbinate is 50% or more of nasal cavity and with nasal polyps). The sensitization to house dust mites and fungi was high. Conclusion: The peculiar findings of AR in combination with HR detected in patients of Northern Vietnam was associated with the onset of the disease at the age of 20-40 years, the predominance in men, the predominance of the disease in smokers, and the predominance in residents of cities and industrial areas (71.1%). Indeed, there was an observed combination of AR with severe and moderate degree of HR. The sensitization of patients with AR in combination with HR in Northern Vietnam are similar to those in Asia, with predominant allergy to house dust mites.
With the growth of the global electric vehicle industry, Viet Nam is proud to be one of the countries with an electric vehicle manufacturing company. This study will focus on government support, environmental perception, pricing perception, infrastructure attributes, and performance factors impacting the purchase intention of electric cars based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB) with variables mediators are attitude and subjective norms. A nationwide questionnaire survey of all ages with 406 valid samples was conducted from December 2021 to January 2022. The result showed that government support, environmental perception, pricing perception, infrastructure attributes, and performance factors positively influence both attitude and subjective norms, according to the SEM results, and attitude and subjective norms have a positive impact on Vietnamese people's intention to buy electric cars. The report has since provided guidance to the government and businesses on stimulating the growth of the electric car sector.
