Objetivo: verificar os fatores que levam a mortalidade materna por causas obstétricas diretas, com ênfase na hipertensão arterial e pré-eclâmpsia e abordar os possíveis meios para melhorar esse cenário. Metodologia: trata-se de um estudo do tipo revisão integrativa da literatura, através de buscas nas bases de dados virtuais em saúde, especificamente no: Scielo; PubMed, Scienc Direct, Lilacs. Foram selecionados 82 artigos para a construção dessa revisão de literatura, 75 artigos foram excluídos considerando os critérios de exclusão e 7 foram considerados para o estudo. Resultados: acerca da análise dos artigos selecionados foi possível verificar que a pré-eclâmpsia promove alterações na parede arterial e gera maior risco cardiovascular. Ainda, verificou-se sobre a importância da realização do pré-natal para que o diagnóstico e o tratamento precoce tenham impacto positivo no prognóstico das gestantes e também sobre a necessidade de se ter profissionais qualificados para realizarem uma assistência de qualidade. Conclusão: foi possível concluir que a hipertensão arterial, principalmente quando associada à pré-eclâmpsia, é um fator que contribui consideravelmente para o aumento da mortalidade materna.
O objetivo geral deste estudo é de identificar elementos reveladores dos medos e anseios da puérpera associados com recém-nascido prematuro, a partir de uma análise de resultados de publicações científicas acerca dessa problemática. Emerge da falta de conhecimento em relação à internação de seu filho em uma Unidade de Terapia intensiva Neonatal (UTIN). Essa inexistência de conhecimento faz com que a mulher se sinta apreensiva e despreparada ao mesmo tempo. Nesta pesquisa apresentam os diversos sentimentos e situações vividas por essas mães, mostrando que, a maioria destes anseios e medos, podem ser superados positivamente. Trata-se de uma revisão de literatura publicadas entre os anos 2008 a 2016. Utilizaram-se artigos das bases de dados eletrônicas Scientific Electronic Library Online - Scielo e Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde - BVS, empregando os descritores: medos e anseios, prematuro, gestação de risco e parto, distribuídos nas seguintes categorias: os medos e anseios da puérpera de recém-nascido prematuro, as consequências trazidas por a inexistência de conhecimento, a gestante de alto risco que supostamente resultará em um parto prematuro e a atuação dos profissionais de saúde diante desta fase. Destacam-se nos artigos os diversos sentimentos vividos pela puérpera de recém-nascido prematuro, notando-se que essas sensações fazem uma grande mudança no psicológico da mulher. Conclui-se que, a gestação de risco, geralmente, pode levar a um parto prematuro. Isso trará muitos sentimentos desconhecidos para a mãe puérpera. Em decorrência disso, essas mães, consequentemente, necessitarão de ótimos cuidados voltados a seu filho, e de um equilíbrio emocional que, no entanto. serão ofertados pela assistência.
