Platinum-loaded NaY zeolite (Pt/NaY) catalysts were synthesized and tested for the aqueous-phase reforming (APR) of methanol and ethanol solutions to produce hydrogen. The APR performance of the Pt/NaY catalysts was compared to the conventional γ-alumina-supported platinum (Pt/γ-Al 2 O 3 ) catalysts. The results have shown that the Pt/NaY catalysts have higher catalytic performance for the APR of methanol and ethanol than the Pt/γ-Al 2 O 3 catalysts.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
