Introdução: Cerca de 40% dos pacientes internados em Unidades de Terapia Intensiva (UTI) são submetidos a Ventilação Mecânica Invasiva. Demasiadamente o uso de VMI acarreta complicações pulmonares como Pneumonia Associada a Ventilação Mecânica (PAV), barotrauma, isquemia traqueal, tromboembolismo, atrofia muscular periférica, disfunção dos músculos respiratórios e toxicidade pelo oxigênio. O desmame da VMI (DVM) é um percurso gradual, que envolve a retirada do indivíduo do ventilador mecânico, e a remoção do tubo endotraqueal. Então, por mais que o suporte ventilatório vise garantir a efetiva troca gasosa no contexto de insuficiência respiratória em pacientes críticos, estes não estão isentos da possibilidade de desenvolvimento de disfunções diafragmáticas. o presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar a relação entre Tdi e FE como variável avaliativa para o desmame da VMI em pacientes criticamente enfermos, através da realização de uma revisão integrativa da literatura. Resultados: Nas bases de dados, foram encontradas 182 publicações. A amostra foi constituída, por aproximadamente 3,85% dos estudos encontrados (n=8) atendendo os critérios de inclusão propostos pela presente pesquisa. Participaram das pesquisas 622 indivíduos de ambos os sexos com idades acima de 18 anos. Os estudos levaram em consideração três variáveis avaliativas: excursão diafragmática (ExD), em 50% dos estudos (n = 4); espessura diafragmática (Tdi), em 100% (n = 8); e fração de espessamento diafragmática (FED) usada em 87,5% da amostra (n=7). Conclusão: Sugere-se que as varáveis FED e ExD são confiáveis e úteis na tomada de decisão clínica para desmame da VMI, levando em consideração demais condições que envolvem o complexo quadro que o paciente ventilado mecanicamente está inserido.
Objetivo: Identificar as repercussões do uso da VNI na oxigenação e desfecho de intubação endotraqueal (IOT) em pacientes adultos com COVID-19. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura. O levantamento bibliográfico ocorreu entre novembro de 2021 a janeiro de 2022. A pesquisa foi realizada nas bases de dados eletrônicas: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Literatura Latino-americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) e Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE). Resultados: Foram encontrados quatro artigos com 902 voluntários adultos com COVID-19 sob uso de VNI. A oxigenação foi expressa através relação da PaO 2 /FiO 2 ou saturação periférica de oxigênio e subsidiou a identificação do sucesso da VNI. A VNI foi bem sucedida entre 44,0% a 72,1% dos participantes. A maior porcentagem de IOT correspondeu a 46,6% e a maior porcentagem de óbitos foi de 50,0%. Conclusão: Na amostra a utilização da VNI em adultos com COVID-19 gerou repercussões quanto ao aumento da oxigenação e diminuição de desfechos clínicos de IOT.
Objetivo: evidenciar na literatura o que é discutido sobre as repercussões da mobilização precoce pela Fisioterapia nos pacientes com COVID-19 Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura. O levantamento bibliográfico ocorreu entre janeiro a março de 2022. A pesquisa foi realizada por um único avaliador em três bases de dados eletrônicas: Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), National Library of Medicine (PUBMED) e Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDRO). Com base no acrônimo PICo para pesquisas não-clínicas buscou-se responder a seguinte pergunta norteadora: o que evidencia na literatura em discussão sobre as repercussões da mobilização precoce pela Fisioterapia nos pacientes com COVID-19? Resultados: Foram encontrados 360 artigos, incluídos três trabalhos por atender os critérios exigidos pela presente revisão. Conclusão: O manejo precoce e a mobilização pela fisioterapia se mostram com benefícios em diversos níveis da doença podendo-se evidenciar diminuindo o tempo de internação hospitalar, tempo de intubação, e ganhos para realização de atividades. As limitações do estudo se mostram pelo número reduzido de artigos que abordam a temática, havendo, portanto, a necessidade de mais estudo sobre o tema para uma melhor discussão.
Objetivo: Identificar as repercussões do treinamento muscular inspiratório (TMI) no desmame da ventilação mecânica invasiva (VMI) em adultos internados em unidades de terapia intensiva. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão de escopo. O levantamento literário ocorreu entre os meses de outubro de 2021 à janeiro de 2022 por um único avaliador, com o intuito de nortear a condução desta pesquisa o acrônimo PCC foi utilizado para a formulação da pergunta condutora: quais as repercussões do TMI no desmame da VMI em adultos internados em UTI? A pesquisa foi realizada nas bases de dados eletrônicas: Literatura Latino-americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE) e National Library of Medicine (PubMed). Resultados: Foram encontrados três artigos com 228 indivíduos adultos em VMI. Nos estudos houve aumento da pressão inspiratória (PImáx.), pressão expiratória máxima (PEmáx.) e volume corrente após realizarem o protocolo de TMI. Entretanto, a realização de TMI não repercutiu com diminuição do tempo do desmame da VMI. Conclusão: TMI aumentou PImáx. e Pemáx., mas não ocasionou diferença no tempo de desmame nos voluntários em VMI.
O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar na literatura se o ultrassom terapêutico possui efeito acelerador na formação do calo ósseo. Caracteriza-se como uma revisão integrativa, descritiva da literatura, que teve as seguintes bases de dados para busca dos artigos: Pubmed, Scielo e BVS, através das palavras-chave: Consolidação da fratura, Terapia por ultrassom e Modalidades de Fisioterapia, de acordo com a plataforma DeCS (Descritores em Ciências da Saúde) utilizando o operador booleano and para a junção dos mesmos. Foi encontrada vasta literatura, sendo que seguiu-se para duas etapas de seleção de acordo com os critérios de inclusão (textos gratuitos, nos idiomas inglês e português dentre os anos de 2013 e 2017 e que fossem realizados em humanos) e pelos filtros de exclusão (artigos de revisão, estudos realizados em ratos, livros e que não abordassem o tema em questão). Após análise teórica dos artigos, restaram 12 publicações incluídos nos resultados e discussão, em que verificou na maioria dos estudos que o ultrassom possui resultados positivos, acelerando o precoce de cicatrização óssea.
