This paper analyses the performance of Hermite orthogonal pulses with Time-Hopping modulation techniques such as TH-PPM TH-BPSK and TH-PSM for Ultra wideband (UWB) communication using UWB S-V Channel-I. It compares the Bit Error Rate (BER) results of modulation techniques obtained with Gaussian pulse, with that of Hermite pulses and proves that Hermite pulses perform better than Gaussian derivatives for indoor UWB channel. Use of Hermite orthogonal pulses in time domain improves Bit Error Rate over indoor multipath environment, which in turn can increase the distance of communication.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
