Considering the fact that memristors have the characteristics similar to biological synapses, a fractional-order multistable memristor is proposed in this paper. It is verified that the fractional-order memristor has multiple local active regions and multiple stable hysteresis loops, and the influence of fractional-order on its nonvolatility is also revealed. Then by considering the fractional-order memristor as an autapse of HR neuron model, a fractional-order memristive neuron model is developed. The effects of the initial value, external excitation current, coupling strength and fractional-order on the firing behavior are discussed by time series, phase diagram, Lyapunov exponent and inter spike interval (ISI) bifurcation diagram. Three coexisting firing patterns, including irregular A-periodic bursting, A-periodic bursting and chaotic bursting, dependent on the memristor initial values, are observed. It is also revealed that the fractional-order can not only induce the transition of firing patterns, but also change the firing frequency of the neuron. Finally, a neuron circuit with variable fractional-order is designed to verify the numerical simulations.

Sound-event recognition often utilizes time-frequency analysis to produce an image-like spectrogram that provides a rich visual representation of original signal in time and frequency. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) with the ability of learning discriminative spectrogram patterns are suitable for sound-event recognition. However, there is relatively little effort that CNN makes full use of the important temporal information. In this paper, we propose MCRNN, a Convolutional Recurrent Neural Networks (CRNN) architecture for sound-event recognition, the letter “M” in the name “MCRNN” of our model denotes the multi-sized convolution filters. Richer features are extracted by using several different convolution filter sizes at the last convolution layer. In addition, cochleagram images are used as the input layer of the network, instead of the traditional spectrogram image of a sound signal. Experiments on the RWCP dataset shows that the recognition rate of the proposed method achieved 98.4% in clean conditions, and it robustly outperforms the existing methods, the recognition rate increased by 0.9%, 1.9% and 10.3% in 20 dB, 10 dB and 0 dB signal-to-noise ratios (SNR), respectively.

In this work, we propose a novel memristor chaotic circuit, which combines current feedback op amp with four basic electronic components, such as capacitance, inductance, resistance and memristor. The dynamic properties of the new circuit are demonstrated, such as system dissipation, equilibrium stability, phase portrait, Lyapunov exponent spectrum, and parameter influence. Numerical simulation results show that the circuit produces a kind of special chaotic attractor and exhibits complicated chaotic behaviour with the evolution of the system parameters. In order to confirm the correctness of the system, a realizing circuit is designed, Pspice simulation results verify the correctness of theoretical analysis.
