The correlation parameters describing the simultaneous n ~ and charged particle production in the 5--205 GeV/c n-p collisions are studied. The linear dependence of the associated n ~ average multiplicity (no) ._ on the negative particle multiplicity n_ in momentum range under consideration is observed. The new n-p data indicate that the correlations between n ~ and charged particles do not depend on the initial state particles. The energy dependence of the correlation integrals f2 -and fo -has been analyzed. The semi-inclusive n ~ production cross sections an(n ~ are analyzed in the framework of the KNO-like scaling relation. The similarity of the (n)~,,(n~ distributions in the 5--205 GeV/c momentum region is observed. The scale transformation allowing the universal description of all the available n-p data on the n o yields is suggested.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
