Bivariate StatistikDie bivariate Statistik analysiert zwei Variablen gemeinsam und gibt den Zusammenhang zwischen zwei Merkmalen wieder.
Deskriptive StatistikStatistik, die die Daten einer Stichprobe z. B. durch Grafiken oder Kenn werte (Mittelwert, Varianz etc.) beschreibt und die Verteilungen einzelner Variablen analysiert.
DichotomisierungKünstliche Einteilung eines Merkmals in 0 und 1, das eigentlich mehrere Ausprägungen besitzt.
KriteriumVorhergesagte/s Variable/Merkmal, auch abhängige Variable, die aus der unabhängigen Variablen/den Prädiktoren vorhergesagt wird.
MedianDer Median teilt die Gesamtzahl der Fälle in der Mitte in zwei Hälften, so dass 50 % aller Werte unter dem Median und 50 % über diesem liegen. Der Median ist im Gegensatz zum Mittelwert nicht so empfindlich gegenüber Extremwerten (sog. "Außreißer").
