Este artigo examina a pesquisa contábil ao longo das últimas duas décadas, definida como estudos publicados em seis periódicos acadêmicos de contabilidade entre 1995 e 2014. Especificamente tem por objetivos: identificar os artigos relevantes (mais citados) e reconhecer grupos de conhecimento em contabilidade explorando a estrutura intelectual da disciplina. Como resultado da análise da citação são individualizadas as 56 publicações mais citadas. Por sua parte, os resultados da análise fatorial e de cocitação permitem distinguir cinco grupos de conhecimento em contabilidade (gerenciamento de resultados, divulgação, demonstrações financeiras e mercados de capitais, governança corporativa e custo de capital). A semelhança destes resultados com os provenientes de estudos bibliométricos semelhantes fornece evidências de uma estrutura intelectual relativamente sólida da disciplina contábil. Os resultados aqui apresentados são de particular relevância para acadêmica da área contábil, pois brinda uma imagem aproximada do quadro geral em que investigações específicas devem ser integradas.
En contextos de elevada informalidad y creciente digitalización, los empresarios se cuestionan: ¿conviene incorporar cobros electrónicos para aumentar las ventas? ¿cuánto más tendría que vender para cubrir los costos de transacción? ¿en cuánto aumentarían los costos impositivos por declarar los ingresos adicionales generados? En respuesta a tales interrogantes, este trabajo tiene por objetivo describir y comparar los costos de medios de pago e impositivos asociados a ventas cobradas con diferentes modalidades (efectivo, medios bancarios y billeteras virtuales), sensibilizando estos resultados ante escenarios de digitalización (incremento de actividad por ventas electrónicas) o informalidad (subdeclaración de ingresos). Metodológicamente es un estudio de caso simulado (microempresa alimenticia de Bahía Blanca) en el que se estiman los costos y resultados netos de once medios de pago para los dos regímenes tributarios vigentes en la Argentina: general (Responsable Inscripto [RI]) y simplificado (monotributo [MT]). Según los resultados, en términos relativos, el RI afronta menores costos de transacción y mayores costos tributarios, respecto al MT. La subdeclaración del 30 % de los ingresos en efectivo reduce a la mitad los costos impositivos por peso de ventas para ambos tipos de contribuyentes, aunque los incentivos para evadir son mayores para el RI y para el MT con ventas cercanas al punto de inflexión entre los regímenes. Los hallazgos revelan que la principal limitación a la adopción de pagos electrónicos en firmas pequeñas se asocia a la informalidad y no a los costos de transacción, lo que demuestra que los fenómenos de inclusión financiera y evasión tributaria deben abordarse conjuntamente.
Este trabajo tiene por objetivo identificar los determinantes de la subdeclaración de ingresos y su evolución temporal desde la óptica de los empresarios en compañías registradas de un país emergente con alta inflación (Argentina). Se propone un modelo conceptual y se estima empíricamente mediante una regresión logística a partir de datos fusionados de secciones cruzadas independientes de los años 2010 y 2017 de las bases Enterprise Surveys del Banco Mundial. Los resultados muestran que la subdeclaración de ingresos es un fenómeno multicausal donde los impuestos pierden importancia a la luz de otros determinantes como: corrupción, regulación y burocracia, calidad de los servicios públicos y gubernamentales, probabilidad de detección, informalidad del sector e inestabilidad política. Además, los resultados reconocen las características de las empresas con mayor propensión a subregistrar las ventas (menor tamaño, venta en el mercado interno, del sector manufacturero, sin financiamiento externo, con empresarios del género masculino). La evidencia es relevante para la formulación de políticas públicas tendientes a reducir la subdeclaración de ingresos.
