The benefits and risks of fever control in severe sepsis remain debated. Although fever is common in sepsis, few comparative studies on fever management are available. What This Study Adds to the Field Fever control using external cooling in sedated patients with septic shock is safe and decreases vasopressor requirement and early mortality.
