The water uptake of nominally 5%-Yb-doped strontiumThe water uptake was measured at various temperatures. zirconate (SrZr 0.95 Yb 0.05 O 3؊␣ ) was studied in situ by thermo-During each experiment the water pressure was changed from gravimetry at different temperatures and water vapor presdry conditions to four different higher pressures in the above sures. The process could be described in terms of an ideal interval and again to dry conditions. Figure 1 shows the mass solution behavior, showing a lower effective vacancy conchanges observed at a single temperature. Seemingly the curves centration than that expected from the nominal dopant condo not reach the equilibrium. The nonvanishing slope may be tent. The solution reaction was found to have ⌬S؇ ؍ ؊127 due to other side reactions. Their time constant is obviously J/(molؒK) and ⌬H؇ ؍ ؊106 kJ/mol. quite different from the water uptake. Therefore, the step due to hydrogen incorporation can be separated and the calculations are not affected appreciably.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
