Del cura et al studied the doppler parameters in solid breast lesions and based on that postulated that doppler alone was not a good modality in determining malingancy of a lesion. However the detection of null or reversed diastolic flow on spectral Doppler imaging is an infrequent but highly consistent finding in malignant lesions.
An unusual case of hepatic hydatidosis complicated by transphrenic migration of the hydatid cyst passing through the right hemidiaphragm, and penetrating the inferior pulmonary lobe causing a bronchial fistula, is presented. The computed tomographic (CT) study permitted the correct preoperative diagnosis.
We present an 8-year-old boy with thyroid follicular carcinoma. Differentiated thyroid follicular carcinoma is very uncommon in childhood and is not usually suspected as the explanation of a thyroid nodule during infancy. The purpose of our paper is to demonstrate the imaging findings in a child and to emphasise the importance of including this tumour in the differential diagnosis of thyroid nodules in children.
