The experiment was conducted on “Influence Of Panchgavya And Jeevamrit On Growth, Yield And Quality Of Tomato (Solanum Lycopersicum L.)” during the period of October 2021 to March 2022 at Horticulture Research Farm, Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom, University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh). The experiment was planned in a factorial randomized block design (FRBD) with three replications and nine treatments which comprised of T0-(RDF only), T1-(RDF + 2.5% Spray of Panchgavya), T2-(RDF + 4.5% Spray of Panchgavya), T3-( RDF + 7.5% spray of Jeevamrit), T4-( RDF + 10.5% spray of Jeevamrit), T5-(RDF + 2.5% Spray of Panchgavya+7.5% spray of Jeevamrit), T6-(RDF + 4.5% Spray of Panchgavya+10.5% spray of Jeevamrit), T7-(RDF + 2.5% Spray of Panchgavya+10.5% spray of Jeevamrit), T8-(RDF + 4.5% Spray of Panchgavya+7.5% spray of Jeevamrit), The treatments comprised of two different levels of panchgavya and jeevamrit in which the recommended dose of fertilizer (RDF N:P:K::120:100:80) was common and based on the interaction of both the bio-fertilizer various observations were recorded on various growth, quality and yield contributing characters. Based on the results obtained from the present investigation, it is concluded that the interaction of panchgavya 4.5% and jeevamrit 10.5% that is treatment T8 was superior followed by the interaction of panchgavya 4.5% and jeevamrit 7.5% that is treatment T6. In this investigation, the T8 was found most suitable for cultivation and getting better yield per hectare of tomatoes and best returns in terms of the economics of the crop with high net returns and Benefit-cost ratio.
An experiment was carried out in the departmental field of Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj during February to May 2021 on bitter gourd (Momordica charantia L.) to find out the best treatments of plant growth regulators for better growth and yield in bitter gourd. The experiment include growth regulators like GA3 and NAA with different ppm. Nine treatments were made and replicated thrice in randomized block design. Application of plant growth regulators was done as per the treatment allocation at four leaf stage. The experimental results revealed that treatment 25 ppm GA3 was found most effective in terms of vine length and results maximum at 20,40,60 and at harvest, and days to first appearance of male flowers whereas treatment T8 NAA 150ppm was recorded significantly minimum at days to first harvest (57.267) and maximum in fruit weight (134.933), fruit length (14.107), fruit diameter (4.453), No. of fruits per plant (11.867), average yield per plant (1,609.100), yield tonne per hectare (10.725).
The present investigation was carried out entitled Effect of integrated nutrient managment on the growth, yield and quality in tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) at the Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh during the Kharif-2021-22 with a view to determine the effect of integrated nutrient management on growth,yield and quality in tomato variety TMTH-2267 and to work out the economics of various treatments. Under this experiment, overall 10 treatment was laidout in a completely randomized block design (RBD) with three replications. From the present investigation it was concluded that T1 (75% N through Urea +MOP + SSP + 25% through FYM + Boron + Azotobacter +PSB) was found to be best among all treatment in terms of yield and T6 (75% N through Urea+ MOP + SSP + 25% through Vermicompost + B + Zn + Azotobacter +PSB) in growth and quality of tomato i.e. plant spread, plant height, T.S.S. etc. The maximum net return of Rs. And maximum Cost:Benefit (B:C) ratio that is 3.25 was observed for T6. Therefore, use of chemical fertilizers alongwith FYM, Boron, Azotobacter and PSB in crop production can enhance the yield and quality of crop especially in case of tomato.
The experiment was conducted in the Horticulture Research Farm, Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higgin bottom, University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj (UP) during October 2021 to february 2022. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design (R.B.D.) with 10 treatments with 3 replications. From the observations it was found that T2 (Soil application of 50% recommended dose of fertilizers as conventional fertilizer + 50% recommended dose of nano N as foliar application nano P&K as soil application) had the best impact on the growth and yield and quality parameters like plant height 65.27 cm, number of leaves per plant 27.14, leaf length 55cm, leaf width 21.83cm, leaf area at harvesting stage 725.00 cm2, days to head initiation 45.42 days, days to harvest 55.67, head diameter 21.16cm, head weight 461.47 gm, head yield per plot 2.77 Kg, head yield per hectare16.95t, TSS 9.76 Brix. The highest cost benefit ratio 3.55 was also observed in T2.
An experiment was conducted in the Horticulture Research farm, Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj (U.P) during kharif season. The experiment was laid out in RBD with 11 treatment with 3 Replications. The results revealed that Treatment T8 (100% RDF + 3% Panchagavya) performed the best in terms of days to plant height (66.71 cm), Number of branches (5.25), Number of leaves (30.67), Days to 50% flowering (41.13), Length of capsule (8.17 cm), Width of capsule (1.91cm), Number of capsules per plant (19.53), Average fresh weight of capsule (13.80 g), capsule yield per plant (132.27 g), capsule yield per ha (135.20 q), Number of seed per capsule (56.33), Shelf life of fruit (5.73), Total soluble solids (3.03), Seed index (7.40), B:C Ratio (3.49). Therefore, the Tretment T8 (100% RDF + 3% Panchagavya) is best the best when compared to other treatments. As the highest benefit cost ratio was observed in treatments T8 (100% RDF + 3% Panchagavya) ie., (3.49) which states that it is economically profitable compared to all other treatments.
