L’urgence sanitaire éveillée aux abords de la viralité COVID-19 a réifié une santé publique qui trace les lignes dures de corps perçus comme entités discrètes à défendre les unes contre les autres. À partir de nos expériences du (dé)confinement au Québec et de nos terrains antérieurs et actuels auprès de guérisseurs et médecines végétales en Colombie et au Cameroun, on s’intéresse aux relations laissées pour compte dans une telle matrice biomédicale, voire celles transversales d’écologies affectives biosociales reliées aux coprésences intimes et contagieuses. À cet égard, une approche anthropologique deleuzoguattarienne permet de penser à la fois l’espace strié du biopouvoir et l’espace lisse des flux et mouvements affectifs de la « vague virale », soit respectivement les rythmes cadencés, mesurables et les rythmes sans mesures des manières de s’agencer à la vague, incluant à travers les constrictions immunologiques. Nous abordons plus précisément la question de respirations végétales dans un monde d’agencements relationnels, aériens et sonores, plus ou moins viables. L’objectif est de maintenir un équilibre dans l’entre-deux permettant de traiter l’ouvert et le fermé de manière souple plutôt que rigide, sans perdre de vue ce(ux) qui s’y manifeste(nt). En naviguant, ou plutôt en surfant la vague virale sur le point de son devenir imprévisible, il s’agit donc de dépasser l’usuel positionnement scientifique de la striation, tout en co-inspirant avec le végétal en (dé)confinement. Notre propos en science mineure ou anexacte vise à rester collé aux manières de cohabiter avec les viralités tout en veillant à l’aspect vital de la contagion.
