Anthropic and natural potential of erosion in the region of Brotas, state of São Paulo. Using natural factors and anthopics, erosion expectation was defined, in the field with different soils types and uses, based upon the Universal Equation of Losses of Soil (USLE). The area of 580km 2 located near Brotas, State of São Paulo was used in this study. The parameters used for integration of the information were: soil erodibility, rainfall erosivity, slopes and length of slopes, to define the natural potential of erosion. In addition to, the values of anthropics factors for erosion expectation was estimated. The anthropics factors were treated jointly as a CPtolerable and CPcurrent. The current expectation of erosion for the fields resulted in disagreement among current occupation (CPcurrent) and tolerable occupation of the lands (CPtolerable). The data indicate that 65% of the chosen plots presented negative values, showing that the current occupation was adapted in relation to the natural tolerance of land use, and 35% of the current occupation presented positive disagreements, reflecting that there was some erosion expectation in the fields.
The chemical and physical variables studied were adjusted to spherical and exponential models and some of them showed semivariogram without defined structure. The PVA showed low spatial continuity of chemical and physical properties, mainly in 0.6-0.8 m layer, which suffers less antropic influence. The LV soil showed more homogenous zones of fertility and granulometric composition. Palavras
Spatial analysis of universal soil loss equation factors of a watershed area reliefAbstract -The objective of this work was to evaluate the soil loss of an area of springs in the Microbacia do Córrego do Tijuco, SP, Brazil. Spatial analysis of the universal soil loss equation (USLE) factors, in integrated with principal component analysis and geostatistics, was used. The average soil loss estimated for the area was 118.5 Mg ha -1 per year, which is considered high. Near the urban zone, there was a high interaction of rainfall erosivity and conservation practices, which shows a high-soil loss, due to the concentration of water from impervious urban layer with a high-flow velocity. In the water partings, the performance of erodibility was prominent, in contrast to the topographic factor. Areas were observed with joint action of these factors, including sites with gentle slope, but with a high, natural potential of erosion. The interaction of multivariate and geostatistic analyses allows the area stratification, identifies locations with specific properties as to soil loss, and spatialises the erosion factors and their interactions along the landscape.Index terms: principal component analysis, geostatistics, erosive process.
ABSTRACT RESUMOPALAVRAS-CHAVE: Geoestatística; erosão; uso do solo.Spatial variability of attributes and soil loss in the definition of management zones Management zones are the result of proper planning of soil use and occupation, which reduce the human impact on the environment. This study aimed to characterize chemical and physical soil traits and check possible management zones through the spatial variability of soil loss estimates and limiting attributes to the development of crops, determining the factors that most affect the erosion process. A total of 258 soil georeferenced points were sampled and had their chemical and physical characteristics determined. The soil losses were estimated by using the USLE model; erosion natural potential, risk and expectation; and anthropic factor of soil loss. The spatial variability of these characteristics was analyzed by descriptive statistics and geostatistics. The results indicated high soil loss, low erosion natural potential and moderate erosion risk for most of the area, with major losses in the convex landform. The anthropic factor and the expected erosion indicate inadequate use and occupation, particularly for the management of soil pH for citrus crop. The anthropic factors were important for the spatial analysis of erosion expectation, suggesting specific management zones.
