ABSTRACTThe aim is to identify the scientific literature about the nurse’s performance in cardiopulmonary arrest (PCR).This is an integrative review, which was conducted a survey of articles published in the databases: MEDLINE,LILACS, IBECS E BDENF, between the years 2010-2015. The search for primary studies was held in the monthsof august and september 2015. Were used to search the following keywords: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation,Nursing, Patient Care Team, Intensive Care Units. Nine articles were identified that were subjected to contentanalysis. Emerged three categories: Theoretical-practical targeted towards professionals in the nursing staff;Knowledge of health professionals (multi-professional team and nursing care) about PCR and Cardiopulmonaryresuscitation; Multidisciplinary team performance and/or nursing staff during and after PCR. It was evidenced thatfor a good performance during CPR, the team must have good working conditions, like for example, accessibilityto technologies, as virtual environment for training, tools for measuring the level of knowledge of professionals, and physical structure of the workplace. Keywords: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation; Nursing; Patient Care Team; Intensive Care Units.
The aim was to produce a synthesis of the Brazilian scientific production on the use of ethnography in nursing research in the period 2009-2013. This is an integrative review, whose question is, 'How has ethnography been used in nursing research?' The search was carried out in the LILACS database. The research corpus comprised seven articles. At a later date, they were submitted to thematic analysis, and two categories emerged. We observed that culture influences the people's lifestyles, which include their preferences, feelings and the meanings they attribute to their experiences. The appreciation of experience and meanings attributed by the clients in the health/disease process enables to bring the health professional and the client together, in order to practice culturally congruent care. The acknowledgement of the cultural status is essential for integral and significant nursing care, where the ethnographic findings contribute towards providing the description of a local reality. Keywords: Cultural anthropology; Nursing. SAFETY OF HOSPITALIZED ELDERLY PATIENTS: AN INTEGRATIVE LITERATURE REVIEW ABSTRACT:The objective was to identify how the safety of hospitalized elderly patients has been discussed in the scientific literature. An integrative literature review was undertaken in the databases Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, Scientific Electronic Library Online, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System and U.S. National Library of Medicine, published between 2009 and 2015. The 25 selected publications discuss the importance of promoting affective care in the reduction of insecurity and adverse events in hospitalized elderly, besides the challenges for the implementation of a safe and high-quality environment for these patients. Gaps were found in the knowledge on this theme. Further studies are needed that focus on the description of a dimensioned and suitable environment and on the elaboration and implementation of care quality safety and improvement programs for elderly patients while in hospital.
