283ChemInform Abstract The reaction of (I) with Fe compounds (II) or (IV) leads to different products. (VI) is obtained in a small amount and can be prepared better (54% yield) from (I) and excess (IV) in Et2O at 20 rc C. The compound (VII) is investigated by X-ray diffraction, t crystallizes in the space group C2/c, Z = 8. The nature of products obtained from (III) and diazomethane (X) depends markedly on the reaction conditions. While excess (X) yields the complex (IXa) as the main product together with traces of (IXb), the use of 1 equiv. of X) and slowly mixing of the reactants gives (XI) together with an inseparable mixture of the complexes (IX). The reactions of (I) with the Co or Ni compound (XII) or (XIV) are carried out in order to extend the use of (I) as a building block for the synthesis of compounds with eteronuclear metal-metal bonds.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
