“…The results show that a supportive classroom environment increases students' self-perceptions of their communicative competence and decreases their anxiety in the classroom. This finding is in line with previous studies, which showed that the classroom environment affects communication confidence (Peng & Woodrow, 2010), anxiety (Wu, 2003), and perceived competence (Palacios, 1998). Therefore, the classroom environment has an impact on psychological factors of students and, as mentioned above, teachers and students' behaviors, and tasks in the classroom directly influence students' anxiety and perceptions of their communicative competence.…”
