In the present study, we also found that SA promoted mTOR phosphorylation through the PI3 K pathway, which is in accord with previous research showing that SA activates the PI3 K/Akt pathway in hepatocytes [ 44 ]. Thus, the induction of OPC differentiation by SA may mainly be mediated by the PI3 K/Akt/mTOR pathway.…”
