Zebra Fish in Toxicology Research: Streptavidin Conjugated Peroxidase Assay in the Development Phase of Zebrafish Embryos to Study Liver Toxicities

Abstract: : Zebrafish have a similar hepatic anatomy and cellular architecture with mammals. Therefore, number of investigators are using zebrafish to study liver pathologies. However, the evaluation model specific to liver toxicities in zebra fish was not clearly stated earlier. The present study was designed to develop a model of embryonic liver toxicity using dexamethasone (DEXA, 0-20 ΜM) as standard hepatotoxic agent and such toxicities easily measured by streptavidin conjugated peroxidase assay after 48 hour post f… Show more

“…The use of zebrafish is an important tool for high-throughput screening of drug hepatotoxicity. Although the liver structure of zebrafish is different from that of mammals, the basic physiological processes, genetic mutations, and pathogenic responses of zebrafish to environmental damage are highly similar ( Bala et al, 2020 ; Bambino et al, 2019 ). In this study, transgenic lfabp:EGFP zebrafish were used as experimental models.…”

“…Anyway, here the anti-psychotic impact of mango bark that has been engaged in the writing, to help the potential future improvement of mango bark as a different restorative medication and a substitute to the current chemical drugs accessible in advertise. The zebra ish is a tropical cypriniform (Family: Cyprinidae), and its name is derived from its silver/golden stripe in the body (Akande et al, 2010;Bala et al, 2019). Outside body developments portray it, straightforwardness during organogenesis and a tractable diploid genome which makes it a reasonable model creature to look into (Akande et al, 2010;Bala et al, 2019).…”
