Abstract: Lapetina et al. identify a protein interaction network involved in the association of chromatin with the nuclear envelope. This network includes a telomere tether, a silencing factor, a SUMO E3 ligase, and an array of nucleoporins that together form a complex distinct from nuclear pore complexes.
