Abstract: Functional constipation (FC) has a negative impact on patients' quality of life. We hypothesized that dietary supplementation with xylo‐oligosaccharides (XOS) or fructo‐oligosaccharides (FOS) would improve constipation symptoms by influencing the gut microbiota.
