MHD-based global space weather models have mostly been developed and maintained at academic institutions. While the ``free spirit'' approach of academia enables the rapid emergence and testing of new ideas and methods, the lack of long-term stability and support makes this arrangement very challenging. This paper describes a successful example of a university-based group, the Center of Space Environment Modeling (CSEM) at the University of Michigan that developed and maintained the Space Weather Modeling Framework (SWMF) and its core element, the BATS-R-US extended MHD code. It took a quarter of a century to develop this capability and reach its present level of maturity that makes it suitable for research use by the space physics community through the Community Coordinated Modeling Center (CCMC) as well as operational use by the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC).

Web Applications (WA) and Web Services (WS) are emerging as predominating technologies ineffectively usefulness in distributed/service oriented systems. These systems present the challenges for achieving the quality of service (QoS). The Quality of Service can be measured by how well the systems are responding to the customers. The performance of these systems from the user point of view is to be estimated, and appropriate measures have to be taken if the objectives are not being met. At the foremost, a feasibility study needs to be done and correlated to technical and environmental factors. The present paper explains how to consider these factors in assessing the performance of different categories of WA vs. WS. It is illustrated by modeling deployment diagram for web application and web services and also by presenting macro and micro flow diagrams.

Abstract-The web services model is used for interoperability of Heterogeneous and distributed platforms. In this paper we present how different orchestrated and choreography based web services collide each other and exchange information. Exchanging of information takes place by means of integrating choreography Web services with push based web service architecture. In global scenario application are built with web services for their own scenario. Each services follow different set of mechanism for e.g. Web services A follows push based service and service B follows poll based services and so on. In order to exchange the information between these two web-services we introduce a layer which acts as a common platform for service synchronization. We call this layer as Heterogeneous Synchronization layer (HSL). This layer acts as a bridge between global web services and our subscribed web services.
