“…The ROC curve analyses of the data suggest that with W/F ratio alone, IDC tumors can be differentiated from benign lesions/normal tissue with high sensitivity and specificity. Consistent with other reports (15, 26, 27, 34, 35), our data show that water resonance dominates the spectra of tumor tissues compared with normal tissue or benign breast lesions. This may be due to elevated amounts of water from increased vasculature or apoptosis.…”
