Volume Flow of Blood Through the Human Brain

Abstract

With the technical assistance of Ruth Hurwitz CHICAGO VALID quantitative data on the volume flow of blood through the human brain are of crucial importance for the solution of a variety of clinical and theoretic problems. The poverty of such data has been due chiefly to a lack of suitable technics. The thermoelectric flow recorder devised by one of us (F. A. G) 1 does not yield qualitative data unless calibrated in situ, and this has not been done in man.
