Visualization of the Workpieces on the CNC Machines Using the Virtual Camera Based on the Sub-Pixel IBR Method

Abstract: One of the results of the dynamic progress in the field of industrial and applied computer science and mechatronics is the growing interest in usage of the machine vision algorithms and systems. One of such areas of applications is the positioning of the workpieces on the CNC machines based on the image analysis, allowing also the visualization of the workpiece observed from an arbitrary viewpoint located between two or more cameras. Such virtual camera can be effectively implemented using Image Based Renderin… Show more

“…Geometry measurements using this method are based on the determination of differences in the position of the object points registered on both images. In order to increase the accuracy of the measurement of stereovision geometry, a projector illuminating the object with structural light is often added to the camera system [17,18]. An example of a commercial solution for such measuring system can be the ATOS system [19].…”

“…3) is used for measuring force in the X and Y axes, i.e. on the plane, and is equipped with function keys (2)(3)(4) taking part in the programming process, as well as with a safety button (1), the deliberate or emergency release of which causes an immediate stop of the drives. The lever enables the precise movement of the table.…”

“…The lever enables the precise movement of the table. To move the table very slowly and carefully, it is necessary to press button (2). Discrete sliding of the table by 0.001mm is possible owing to a discrete mini joystick indicated in the picture with number (7.)…”

“…Among others, they are applied by reverse engineering [1]. We have been also noticing some attempts to use them in the precise positioning of complex-shaped objects in the working space of a machine tool or welding machine to improve or automate the process [2,3,4]. 3D scanners may also be used to measure people, for instance for medical purposes [5,6].…”
