India's epidemiological shift from communicable to non-communicable diseases (NCDs) signifies the impact of healthcare advancements and changing lifestyles. Despite declines in infectious diseases, challenges related to chronic conditions such as cardiovascular diseases and diabetes have risen. Approximately one in four Indian adults has hypertension, with only 12% maintaining controlled blood pressure. To meet the 25% relative reduction target in hypertension prevalence by 2025, India must enhance treatment access and public health initiatives. A global report underscores the urgency of preventing, detecting, and managing hypertension, especially in low- and middle-income countries like India, where 188.3 million adults are estimated to have hypertension. Loss to follow-up persists in both communicable and non-communicable diseases, driven by factors such as stigma and socioeconomic barriers. Community outreach programs have proven effective, incorporating mobile health interventions, community health worker engagement, and door-to-door screenings. Hypertension management faces similar challenges, with community outreach tailored to lifestyle factors and cultural beliefs showing promise. The comprehensive strategy to control hypertension involves strengthening primary healthcare centers, promoting wellness centers, and capacitating Community Health Officers. While community-led, tech-enabled private sector interventions can screen and manage NCDs, integration with the public health system is crucial for widespread adoption and cost-effectiveness. In conclusion, tailored strategies, such as community outreach integrated into healthcare systems, are essential to address loss to follow-up and enhance health management success in both communicable and non-communicable diseases.

The efficacy of diabetes mellitus (DM) therapy is not only contingent on the pharmacological agents but also significantly influenced by the depth of patient comprehension regarding therapeutic management. Therefore, designed educational interventions pertinent to individual requirements must be administered, including the intricacies of DM therapy management. This qualitative study was carried out in January February 2023 at 6 Public Health Center in Salatiga City. The investigative method employed was semi-structured interviews, conducted with a cohort of DM patients between the ages of 55 to 65 years, who possessed proficient communicative skills in the Indonesian language, and voluntarily answered each question. Meanwhile, individuals concurrently engaged in healthcare vocations were excluded and the interview process was documented in the form of an audio recording. The results showed that patients still need education regarding proper diet for diabetics including the type, amount, and schedule. Guidance relating to appropriate physical activities catering to DM patients, in conjunction with the discernment of medication indications, potential side effects, storage requisites, and administration protocols, emerged as critical topics. This study stated that DM patients need educational curriculum related to diet/nutrition, physical activity, medicines, and DM complications.

Penderita HIV/AIDS (ODHA) merupakan salah satu kelompok rentan pada saat pandemi covid 19 karena memiliki tingkat kecemasan tinggi yang berdampak pada penurunan imunitas sehingga tubuh rentan terinfeksi covid-19, dari permasalahan tersebut perlu adanya upaya guna mengatasinya. Salah satu upaya yang mampu menjadi solusi adalah dengan peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai pendidikan kesehatan yang mampu memberikan perubahan pada tingkat stres. Video informatif merupakan salah satu media inovatif dan menarik yang dapat digunakan sebagai edukasi kesehatan terutama dalam pandemi covid-19 saat ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan media video informatif terhadap perubahan tingkat stres pada ODHA di masa pandemi covid 19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pra eksperimen dengan menggunakan satu kelompok perlakuan yang diukur dengan pretest dan posttest. Keseluruhan sampel yang diteliti berjumlah 32 penderita HIV AIDS di wilayah Kediri yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling yang kemudian akan dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa p-value sebesar 0,000 <a=0,05 yang berarti bahwa adanya perbedaan signifikan antara pretest dan posttest. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode pendidikan kesehatan dengan menggunakan video informatif terhadap tingkat stres pada ODHA di masa pandemi covid -19.
