Vibration Response Analysis of the Tail Beam of Hydraulic Support Impacted by Coal Gangue Particles with Different Shapes

Abstract: The existing research on coal gangue identification based on vibration usually assumes that coal gangue particles are ideal shapes. To understand the vibration response difference in hydraulic support caused by coal and gangue with real shapes, this paper uses a three-dimensional (3D) scanning technology to determine the real shape of coal particles. The process of coal and gangue impacting the tail beam at different angles was simulated in the LS-DYNA software package, and the effects of shape parameters, vel… Show more

“…Table 2 shows the mechanical properties of the overlying strata based on the working face's overlying strata structure. The Holmquist-Johnson-Cook model, often known as the HJC model, is frequently used to examine the mechanical behavior of rock [49][50][51], and adds the keyword MAT_ADD_EROSION to simulate the failure of the material [52]. The failure criterion of rock is based on reference [53].…”

“…Tis method can efectively resist the infuence of various noises and dust, and since its characteristics are based on the vibration sensors, it also makes the installation of equipment more convenient, so it has a good application prospect. However, at present, the research on coal gangue identifcation based on vibration mainly focuses on the impact process of a small number of rock particles and signal processing [13][14][15]. Tere are a few studies on the coal gangue identifcation efect in the whole process of coal caving, while no study has yet focused on how the application efect of the vibration identifcation method is afected by the numerous process parameters of the coal release process and environmental conditions.…”

“…The separation of coal and gangue can be mainly divided into two categories: wet gangue separation and dry gangue separation. Among them, the dry gangue separation represented by ray separation [X-ray (Zhang et al, 2021) and dual-energy gamma-ray (Yazdi and Esmaeilnia, 2003)], laser separation (Wang and Zhang, 2017), vibration separation (Wan et al, 2022), crushing separation (Yang et al, 2018), and visual separation (Bai et al, 2021) do not consume water resources, which is conducive to the environment. At present, it has become the mainstream separation method.…”
