Variation of Impurity Element Content, Structure and Phase Composition of the Teeth at Inflammatory Odontogenic Diseases

Abstract: Gamma activation analysis on LUE NSC KIPT was used to measure macro-, microelements and 224,226,228RA in intact teeth and teeth with inflammatory odontogenic diseases. A comparative analysis of the phase composition of the teeth was carried out. It is shown that the size of apatite crystals in intact teeth is 3 times higher than in teeth with acute odontogenic diseases. The latter indicates the presence of an amorphous phase of carbonate inclusions and structurally unbound water

“…It was documented that, the existence of uranium isotopes in groundwater is related to the hydrothermal, geochemical, and mineralogical conditions of the aquifers 35,36 . Uranium mobility to urinary stones was confirmed in the literature using a gamma spectrometer, and it might have a role in the formation of a specific type of urinary stones 37,38 . The divalent uranium compounds have the ability to deposit on the surface of hydroxyapatite crystal by ion exchange of Ca +2 ions, and it is strongly bound with two phosphate groups 38 .…”
