Variables Associated With Feeding Tube Placement in Head and Neck Cancer

Abstract: To identify clinical factors associated with enteral feeding tube placement in a head and neck cancer population. Design: A self-administered survey was given to patients being treated for head and neck cancer while they were waiting to be seen in 1 of 4 otolaryngology clinics. Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. “…Generally, higher T category tumors are associated with resections that remove larger volumes of native tissue that is then reconstructed with an adynamic piece of tissue that is typically also insensate.
