[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] Of the types of urinary diversion, orthotopic neobladder (ONB) reconstruction is a continent urinary diversion procedure; however, it is not suitable for every patient due to the complexity of the Author Manuscript procedure, increased levels of surgical stress that it incurs, and higher complication rates compared with other noncontinent procedures, such as ileal conduit and cutaneous ureterostomy. [8][9][10] Although the selection of a patient for an ONB reconstruction is strict, the optimal tools for patient selection for ONB are not available except for contraindications such as pre-existing renal or liver impairment, or for bladder-neck to prostatic involvements.…”
