Abstract: We discuss the modification of an old method of connecting two capillary columns in a confluent configuration which elegantly allows introduction of make‐up gas at a controlled flow rate when the effluent is split for electroantennographic detection experiments, and allows for easy switching of the stationary phase between successive GC runs.
