“…Recently, Crous et al (2006) conducted a study on phylogenetic lineages in Botryosphaeriaceae, so they rearranged several species in the genus Neofusiccocum, which is characterized by having fusiform hyaline conidia to ellipsoid hyaline conidia as in the case of Fusicoccum Corda, but it differs by having sinanamorphs similar to Dichomera, which has globose to brown pyriform conidia. Originally, the genus Neofusicoccum has 13 species, but the number has grown according to additional studies (Sakalidis, Hardy, & Burguess, 2011); although for some of these species, these studies can be complex, as in N. ribis (Slippers, Crous & (Crouss et al, 2006).
