Abstract:Background: Combined external fixation and internal fixation of distal radiusfractures is used most commonly to treat injuries with joint surface ormetaphysealcomminution. External fixation aids reduction intraoperatively and facilitates percutaneous or intraoperative manipulation of fracture.
