“…[106][107][108][109][110][111][112] Radiofrequency Ablation Localized heating with radiofrequency heat generators as well as surgical excision with radiofrequency electrosurgical knives have been used with moderate success. 113,114 Microwave Treatment In vitro treatment of excised warts by applying microwave energy has been shown to produce more HPV DNA damage than CO2 laser treatment, but there has been no reported clinical application of microwave treatment.…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…46,154,155 Ultrasound thermotherapy of warts was never widely adopted, perhaps because of variable response and recurrence rates, inefficient treatment regimens, or the need for specialized ultrasonic therapy units.…”

“…[7] the most common treatment options for plantar warts are topical application of salicylic acid with pairing of the hyperkeratotic wart and cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen. [14,15] The use of ultrasound therapy in the treatment of plantar warts has been proposed and the effectiveness has been proven in various studies [16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23].…”
