“…For another report, a modular labeling strategy was presented for electrochemical immunoassay via supramolecular host-guest interaction between β-CD and ADA [68]. Similar to reference [56], β-CD molecules were not used directly for analyte recognition but as linkers to immobilize antibody herein. Comparing to the covalent chemistry for immobilizing antibodies, the introduced host-guest interaction method is more simple without an additional catalyst, and the small-molecule (ADA) label not only made the binding more efficient but also increased the amount labeled on antibodies for further binding of the signal tag by the host-guest interaction.…”
